The Shop
Hala Pet Stores is Lancaster longest serving pet shop in Lancaster - It is now owned by Sarah Jayne Bleasdale (since 2022) a familiar face to the shop who started off at the pet store originally as a work placement student whilst studying for 4 years working alongside then owner Steven Atkin.
As time progressed Sarah became 'The Saturday Girl' to developing to a part time member of staff. Original plans to become a Vet Nurse soon changed as she developed a keen interest in the shop itself. Sarah dreamed of owning Hala Pet Stores but with the helpful support and vital knowledge from Steven this was made possible.
Then fast forward to April 2022 - Sarah purchased the shop from then owner Steven as he retires and hands the reigns over.
Sarah is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about animal health, welfare and nutrition which is advocated throughout the store - Through the care of the animals on site and through the products which she choses to stock in the shop.
So far 2023 has been the year the shop has seen a total face lift! Every part has been renewed throughout the shop; bigger and better enclosures for our animals - Making the animal room a beautiful, peaceful home for all the animals. The shop floor has seen plenty of new products make way onto the shelves, Sarah has also made it RAWHIDE FREE zone in our dog treat area.

With shipping costs from £10.49 for orders up to 27kg, we can dispatch orders quickly and conveniently within 2 working days to ensure that your pet is kept happy, no-matter where you may live in the country.
Please note that not everything we display on our website is available in our shop, so if you want to pop in for something you like, please give us a call on 01524 847434 or send us an email to enquire whether we have it in stock. We can order certain items for collection at our shop, and we’ll send you a handy reminder when it will be available for collection, saving you time and effort in your busy lives.
